Troubleshooting checklist
If the wallpaper isn't updating or something feels off, run through this list before emailing us — it solves the majority of issues.
- Open Shortcuts → Automation → confirm 'Dots Daily Update' is enabled.
- Make sure 'Run Immediately' (not 'Ask Before Running') is selected on the automation.
- Settings → Dots → Photos → set to 'Add Photos Only' (or 'All Photos').
- Settings → Dots → Notifications → enable if you want daily reminders.
- Disable Low Power Mode temporarily — it can pause background automations.
- Check Focus modes (Do Not Disturb / Sleep) aren't blocking Shortcuts automations.
- Update to the latest iOS version (Dots requires iOS 17 or later).
- Force-quit Dots and reopen it once if a setting won't save.
